Condensate thefts committed in Gazli fields
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the order signed by the Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, in order to smoothly organize production and processing on weekends, according to the approved schedule, work was organized in all departments and factories.
Despite the day off, a working group led by Khislat Nazirov, created in the Gazli oil and gas production department, together with the military personnel of the National Guard, conducted studies at the fields and in the wells.
In the course of studies, unfortunately, it was revealed that even on such a great, blessed day of Ramadan Hayit, thefts are committed.
In particular, those who tried to steal the resulting condensate from the Kumli field failed to achieve their goal. Two clamps were found in a 720mm diameter gas manifold and theft was prevented.
Although the thieves did not achieve their goal, they caused enormous damage to the country's economy. Due to the overlap and repair of the perforated sections, 1.4 million cubic meters of natural gas will be lost, and supplies of natural gas from the Kumli, Urtakum, Shorkum, Andakli fields will stop for 8 hours.
In addition, it turned out that the clamp was also installed on the gas manifold with a diameter of 426 mm "Khojikazkhan-Kulbeshchak". To repair the places of these clamps, 250 thousand cubic meters of natural gas will be lost.
500 thousand cubic meters of gas will be lost to repair the clamps in the 325-mm gas manifold “Savatli-Kulbeshchak”.
As you can see, the installation of clamps on gas pipelines by thieves not only leads to losses of natural gas supplied to the population or sent for processing, but also causes significant damage to the country's economy.
It is worth noting that the head of the Gazli oil and gas production department, as well as deputies and dozens of responsible persons who committed robberies and thefts, were recently dismissed by the Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Mehriddin Abdullayev.
