Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of Uzbekistan organized negotiations with Boccard (France) on establishing cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals of European quality.
As the head of the department of "Health and Care" Eric Marcelan noted, this French company has 30 years of experience in pharmaceuticals. Its offices are open in 35 countries of the world.
Specialization in this area is mainly in the production of liquid forms of pharmaceutical products (drinkable and injections). The area of biotechnology stands out, namely the production of insulin and various vaccines. Also one of the leading directions is the fractionation of blood plasma.
The National Chamber noted that the introduction of advanced developments in healthcare and pharmaceuticals is one of the tasks of this state structure. As part of its implementation, the National Chamber analyzes the activities of foreign companies known for their achievements and organizes familiarization with their capabilities of domestic involved medical organizations.
To this end, the National Chamber invited representatives of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan to participate in the online negotiations.
The participants of the meeting were interested in the experience of a French company in the fractionation of blood plasma. According to E. Marcelan, in this direction, cooperation has been established with another French company - "LFB", which is the leader in this field. The construction of a future plant in Brazil, where the production of albumin, immunoglobulin and other drugs is planned, was named as an example of the implementation of partner projects. The production will be able to process 500 thousand liters of plasma per year.
The Uzbek side noted that the introduction of pharmaceutical production of European quality in the country is undoubtedly a practical step to improve the quality of medical care for the population, develop medical tourism, and expand the export potential of domestic pharmaceuticals.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue interaction with the aim of a detailed consideration of the possibilities of partnership projects.
