An agreement was reached to intensify bilateral cooperation with the city of Medina

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 May 2021, a government delegation of Uzbekistan, as part of its stay in Saudi Arabia, visited the city of Medina.
The members of the delegation visited a number of industrial and cultural sites - in particular, they visited a business incubator, where they studied the Saudi experience of attracting the population to handicrafts and entrepreneurship, as well as the International Museum of the Biography of the Prophet and Islamic Civilization, where the Saudi side presented achievements in the field of application innovations and information and communication technologies in the promotion of cultural and historical heritage.
Also, during the visit, a meeting was held with the Governor of the province of Medina, Prince Faisal ibn Salman al-Saud, during which the prospects for the development of cooperation in the investment, trade and economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres were studied. In this context, they discussed measures to establish trade, economic and cultural ties between the cities of Samarkand and Medina. The high potential for cooperation between the King Faisal Center for Islamic Studies and the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent was also noted.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify bilateral cooperation in order to promote projects and initiatives of common interest.
