The Minister of Energy and the Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz examine the state of construction and installation works at the GTL plant
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Energy Alisher Sultanov and Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz Mehriddin Abdullayev visited the construction site of the Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant in order to study the state of the investment project.
Today the project has reached its final stage. Of the total volume of work, 96 percent have been completed. At the construction site of the plant, construction and installation work has been completed, and improvement work is being actively carried out.
During the visit, they were familiarized in detail with the process of commissioning and testing of pipes and equipment at the technological zones of the plant.
The Minister of Energy and the Chairman of the Management Board got acquainted with the commissioning of the main substation and the beginning of accepting the power supply of the enterprise, as well as the completion of commissioning works in the building of instrumentation and automation No. 2, commissioning of the Central Control Panel, instrumentation and the automation system installations for the production of compressed air for.
In turn, the responsible persons and the head of Uzbekneftegaz GTL, Fakhriddin Abdurasulov, were instructed to complete the commissioning work.
In the course of the study, a number of tasks were given, aimed at strict observance of the rules and requirements of safety, labor protection and industrial safety, high-quality training of the enterprise's operating personnel, as well as high-quality implementation of commissioning works.
The progress of construction of the administrative building of the plant was also studied, and it was noted that modern technologies should be installed here for the work of personnel and workers, and, accordingly, the construction should be continued.
In addition, instructions were given to improve the living and working conditions of workers working at construction sites, to systematically create the necessary conditions for them.
It should be noted that the general contractors of the project - the Korean consortium Hyundai Engineering, Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Enter Engineering (Singapore) are actively working to launch equipment at the plant.
At present, more than 500 pieces of equipment are being used to carry out commissioning works, more than 9 thousand people continue their labor activity at the construction site.
With the commissioning of the Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant, 3.6 billion cubic meters of purified natural gas (methane) will be processed annually and the production of 1.5 million tonnes of high-quality synthetic liquid fuel will be achieved, including more than 307,000 tonnes of jet fuel, 724,000 tonnes diesel fuel, 437,000 tonnes of oil, naphtha - raw materials for the chemical industry, 53,000 tonnes of liquefied gas.
