Issues of intensifying practical cooperation with the National University of Forensic Science of India discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov visited Gujarat and met with the acting Rector of the National University of Forensic Science in Gandhinagar D. Vyas.
This university was founded in 2008 as the Gujarat Forensic Science University, and in 2020 received the status of a national university (Nationаl Forensic Science University). The university is part of the Ministry of the Interior of India and is the only educational institution in the country specializing in this area.
The university’s curriculum includes courses in criminology, forensics, cybersecurity, counter-terrorism, digital forensics, bio-forensics, etc. The university cooperates with more than 60 countries around the world, such as the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Turkey, Israel, Australia, Malaysia, Bangladesh.
The sides discussed the development of cooperation between the National University of Forensic Science of India and the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Innovative Development of Uzbekistan, the Republican Center for Forensic Expertise named after Kh. Suleimanova under the Ministry of Justice and the Tashkent State University of Law.
The university considered the conditions for organizing practical classes for training and advanced training of law enforcement officers of Uzbekistan.
The head of the university expressed his readiness to cooperate with relevant ministries and departments of Uzbekistan in all areas of the National University of Forensic Science. He also said that in the future, based on the needs of the country and the region of Central Asia, it is possible to jointly study the issue of opening a branch of the university in the republic.
