Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21-22 November 2020, members of the Government Commission under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and with the involvement of heads of ministries, departments, commercial banks and local authorities, conducted on-site monitoring of the work to study the current state and stimulate the accelerated growth of socio-economic development of Khorezm region.
In the course of work in the region, targeted meetings were held with entrepreneurs and initiators of investment projects to identify existing problems and develop effective algorithms for their solution.
Further practical steps were discussed to enhance investment and industrial activities in the region with the use of existing growth points and unused economic reserves.
The current state of infrastructure and social facilities was also considered, as a result of which the responsible managers were given additional instructions to improve the efficiency of the operation of these facilities in order to maximize the coverage of the population with popular social services with an emphasis on health care and education.
The reports of the leaders of 12 working groups on the state of the region's economy, topical problems in the spheres of agriculture, industry, entrepreneurship, construction, information and communication industry, infrastructure development and poverty reduction were studied.
Based on the data provided, the responsible leaders were instructed to develop additional measures to solve existing problems and begin their practical implementation.
It was also instructed to accelerate work on the development of a targeted program for the integrated socio-economic development of the region, taking into account the economic potential of each city and district of the region, as well as the existing problems and needs of the population.
