Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN receives the highest diplomatic rank
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN Bakhtiyor Ibragimov was awarded the highest diplomatic rank - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Dunyo news agency reported.
Bakhtiyor Ibragimov was born in Tashkent, he is 54 years old. Since 1992, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he held various positions, including in the embassies of Uzbekistan in the United States and South Korea.
In May 2017, he was appointed Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN (New York).
In June 2019, at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, Uzbekistan was for the first time elected as deputy chairman of the next session, whose duties Bakhtiyor Ibrahimov, as Permanent Representative of our country, performed at the 74th session of the UN General Assembly from September 2019 to September 2020.
