Technical safety of electrical appliances to be strengthened in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By resolution of the Government of Uzbekistan, the Technical Safety Rules for the operation of electrical appliances were approved.

According to them, protective equipment used in electrical appliances must comply with the requirements of state standards and be tested.

Employees who have the right to perform work for which additional safety requirements are imposed must have a special record of the established form in the certificate. Such works include:

work performed at height;

individual work performed in conductive elements, energized;

maintenance of tanks working under pressure;

testing equipment under high voltage.

Technical safety rules for the operation of electrical appliances are mandatory for:

organizations producing electricity;

organizations engaged in the transmission and distribution of electrical energy, as well as research, design, construction and installation, repair organizations carrying out work related to these organizations.

Compliance with these Rules is monitored by the Inspectorate for Control in the Electricity Industry under the Ministry of Energy.
