Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 July 2020, an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on the mutual recognition of education documents and training documents entered into force.
The above international treaty was signed during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus on 1 August 2019.
In accordance with the agreement, state-issued documents on education issued by state educational institutions or scientific organizations of one of the parties are recognized on the territory of the other side and allow continuing education on the corresponding programs of the next level.
The aforementioned international agreement helps to eliminate bureaucratic barriers to the acquisition of knowledge and create favorable conditions for Uzbek and Belarusian citizens who intend to continue their education at educational institutions of the two countries.
Moreover, the agreement does not apply to educational documents issued before its entry into force (with the exception of documents issued in the Uzbek SSR or Byelorussian SSR), and also does not cancel the recognition procedure in order to carry out professional activities in both countries.
The authorized bodies for the implementation of the above Agreement are the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Education Quality under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
