Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The El-Yurt Umidi Foundation under the Agency for the Development of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan announces the holding of the First International Umid Foundation Alumni Conference on 3-4 January 2020. The theme of the upcoming forum is defined as "Renewable Uzbekistan - a new generation of personnel."
It is expected that this conference will be the first event aimed at reuniting the “Umidists” of different generations for the benefit of the development of native Uzbekistan. It was this idea that was visually embodied in the format of the event, defined as Umid Reunion 2.020 - a symbol of unification at a new stage of development.
Recall that the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation, created in September last year on the personal initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is the assignee of the Umid Foundation, which in 1997-2003. 828 representatives of talented youth were funded abroad. Among the scholars of those years there are many current high-level leaders, including a number of members of the government, diplomatic missions of our country, heads of departments of ministries and departments, etc.
Commenting on the event, the director of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation Professor Adham Bekmuradov noted: “In 2018, our organization sent 381 specialists to study abroad, and in 2019 this figure is close to six hundred. As for 2020, it promises to be even more saturated with various programs of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation. The President of the country, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, creates all the necessary conditions to accelerate the training of highly qualified, professional and patriotically educated personnel for the active reform of the economy and public administration.
This indicates, first of all, the level of tasks facing the country today, as well as the scale of the reforms that Uzbekistan is experiencing — reforms that require thousands of professionals in all sectors of the economy to succeed. However, it will take years to study, and high-level personnel are needed now. That is what inspired us to organize a gathering of graduates - “Umidists” - hundreds of successful people from around the world who once got a decent start in life thanks to state programs. Within the framework of the conference, we intend to demonstrate to the guests the depth of transformations and the development potential of modern Uzbekistan. Our goal is to attract the best of the best to pursue a career in the homeland. ”
Among the other goals of the conference is to create a platform for regular communication between graduates of the Umid Foundation and familiarize them with the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of public administration and economic modernization. This directly echoes the goals of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation itself, which is called upon not only to educate young people abroad, but also to create favorable conditions for them to apply the acquired knowledge in their homeland.
“We live in an era of rapid transformation, affecting all spheres of life of the state and society. The development strategy of Uzbekistan requires a new generation of professional, competent and initiative personnel who are able to independently make decisions and take responsibility for the result, ”says Adham Bekmuradov. “El-Yurt Umidi faces a serious challenge to overcome the personnel shortage at various levels of government, and we believe that this goal will be achieved, including through events such as Umid Reunion 2.020.”
The plenary meeting of Umid Reunion 2.020 on the topic “Renewable Uzbekistan - a new generation of personnel” will be held on January 3 in the capital, and on January 4 the conference will continue in the mountain health complexes of the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region. It is planned that more than 300 Umid Foundation scholarship holders will become participants in the event, unique in its goals and objectives, including about 120 former Umid residents living abroad are expected. The organizers of the event are ready to cover all expenses of the conference participants related to accommodation, meals and transport services from January 3 to 5, 2020.
The El-Yurt Umidi Foundation invites all interested parties to participate in the Umid Reunion 2.020 conference. Details on the website http://conference.eyuf.uz/
