Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan holds talks in India

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 December 2019, in Delhi, negotiations were held between the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev with the Deputy Advisor to the Prime Minister of India on National Security Pankaj Saran, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijay Thakur Singh, and also director of the department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deepak Mittal, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meetings, the parties discussed the efforts of the two countries to peacefully resolve the Afghan crisis, ways to restore the socio-economic infrastructure of Afghanistan, as well as the implementation of various projects in this country.
The Indian side expressed support for the policy of the leadership of Uzbekistan on the peaceful development of Afghanistan. According to interlocutors, Uzbekistan plays an important role in solving the Afghan problem, putting paramount importance, first of all, the interests of the people of Afghanistan.
The parties paid special attention to the issue of training national personnel for Afghanistan on the basis of the Educational Center for the Training of Afghan Citizens in Termez.
The Indian side expressed its readiness to consider the organization of short-term courses in the Center for the specialties that are most in demand in Afghanistan.
