Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 November 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov, who is on a visit to Brussels, took part in the launch ceremony of the program “Supporting the economic rights and opportunities of Afghan women through education and training in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.”
In his address to those present, the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan emphasized that the European Union’s program for training Afghan women in agriculture, applied sciences and mining represents a unique opportunity to involve them in the social and political life of the country.
In this regard, the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan noted the prospects of a number of EU projects in this area, including the interaction established in the tripartite format “EU-Uzbekistan-Afghanistan” for the training of Afghan students, including women, in the Education Center in Termez, which makes its significant contribution to the process of creating a base of highly qualified specialists for Afghanistan.
Confidence was expressed that by common targeted actions it would be possible to make its feasible contribution to solving the whole range of tasks facing Afghan society.
