Uzbekistan plans to produce medicinal herbs based on Chinese traditions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan has signed a memorandum with Beijing-based company Bei Jing Hong Tian Li Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd ("Hongyanli") on cooperation in the field of healthcare and pharmaceutical development. This was reported by the press service of the National Chamber of Innovative Health
Juntianli Pharmaceutical Manufacturer is known for its medicinal herbs based on traditional Chinese medicine recipes. According to the Memorandum, cooperation will begin with the supply of drugs from China to Uzbekistan, and after market research, it is planned to create a joint venture to produce these medicinal products in our country.
The document was signed on 5 November 2019 in Tashkent by the chairman of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rovshan Izamov and the president of the Hongyanli company U Tsinze.
Attracting internationally recognized and innovative for Uzbekistan types of medical care to the population is one of the main tasks of the National Chamber, set by the country’s leadership to this new state structure.
As noted in the Memorandum, the Chinese company is also considering the possibility of opening a rehabilitation hospital and a spa town with a training center based on Chinese traditional medicine in Uzbekistan. Partnership support to all announced intentions will be provided by the National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed to promote at the first stage five types of medicines based on medicinal herbs aimed at treating diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and various liver injuries.
With positive forecasts of market analysis, the Chinese side expressed its intention to gradually attract direct investments in the amount of US$100 million to the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2020-2024.
