Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In the near future, Uzvtortsvetmet intends to enter the markets of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region with its products, which is almost half the world’s population. The plant is already negotiating with partners from China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. In addition, a delegation from Thailand visited Tashkent this month, the company’s press service said.
In particular, the Thai company Win Global Metal Co is ready to purchase aluminum from Uzvtortsvetmet. According to preliminary agreement, the first transaction may take place before the end of this year.
It should be noted that the main importers of the plant’s products today are the Baltic countries, England, Turkey, the CIS countries, as well as Hong Kong. This year, Uzvtortsvetmet first delivered its products to Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as neighboring Tajikistan. Among the strategic partners of the enterprise are large metallurgical giants from Turkey, the USA, Germany, Canada, India, Japan, Great Britain and Switzerland.
“For nine months of this year, Uzvtortsvetmet’s exports exceeded US$15 million. These are mainly secondary alloys of aluminum, copper, brass and lead. In addition, the plant sends scrap and waste of nickel, titanium and magnesium for export. These are the waste that At present, they are not processed in the republic. They are exported to the CIS countries and Europe," the company said.
It should be noted that Uzvtortsvetmet is the only specialized enterprise in Central Asia that procures and processes scrap and non-ferrous metal waste, and also produces non-ferrous metal alloys and consumer goods.
Today it is a modern enterprise with an extensive network of procurement organizations throughout the country and providing the domestic economy with high-quality non-ferrous metals.
In September 2018, the state share in the authorized capital of Uzvtorsvetmet was transferred to trust management of a foreign company SFI Management Group. This was done to improve the efficiency of the production management system.
