Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to develop the Digital Economy, the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and the State Cadastre, are launching a project to introduce digital solutions in the agricultural industry.
The technology for monitoring the agro-industrial complex consists in using specialized agrodrons with digital multispectral cameras on the sides, which, as a result of a series of overflights on different vegetative cycles of crops, make it possible to obtain exact contours and areas, digital relief models, conduct an inventory of fields, determine the uniform distribution of nutrients and microelements on fields. Digitalization of agriculture with the help of implemented technology will increase productivity and increase the importance of the industry in the digital economy of the country.
In the future, thanks to the new technology, a transition from traditional approaches to farming to a system of precision farming is possible to increase the efficiency and productivity of growing agricultural products.
Precision farming is an absolute trend in the development of agriculture in the world and implies a comprehensive high-tech agricultural management system. This concept includes global positioning technology (GPS), geographic information systems (GIS), yield assessment technologies (Yield Monitor Technologies), variable rate technology (Variable Rate Technology), remote sensing technology (Earth remote sensing) and Internet of Things technology solutions (IoT).
The uniqueness of the project lies in the fact that the hardware-software complex of agrodrons easily adapts to the climatic and weather conditions of our region, and can also be converted in accordance with the new needs in the precision farming system. Part of the profit from the introduction and operation of agrodrons is planned to be directed to the continuous modernization of structural elements and software of agrodrons, as well as to increase their potential capabilities.
The introduction of drones in the agricultural sector will enable the digitalization of agriculture in our country. As world practice shows, the economic effect of the use of digital technologies is obvious: the introduction of such technologies made it possible to increase yields by 20% due to early detection of diseases and more precise control of the vegetative cycles of plants, and also to reduce sprayed plant protection products and mineral fertilizers by 30% due to differentiated spraying.
For the purpose of high-quality implementation and continuous application of new technology, the Digital Cadastre LLC was established at the State Unitary Enterprise “Geoinnovation Center”.
