Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a press conference in Tashkent.
Speaking about the reform in the tariff policy of the electricity sector, the head of JSC Thermal Power Plants Ruslan Mubarakshin, noted that the cost of electricity for 80% depends on the price parameters of natural gas. In addition, it is necessary to take into account other expenses, including the payment of specialists, water for technological needs, a repair fund, etc.
For the operation of the electricity sector involved a large amount of equipment. It today includes 114 units of power equipment, including 39 power units, 22 turbogenerators, 44 boilers, 4 operating CCPs, and 1 GTU. These capacities make it possible to generate about 58.5 billion kW / h of electricity. At the same time, this figure does not include the amount of electricity produced by hydroelectric power plants.
In total, about 45 thousand people work in 49 organizations of the electric power industry.
As for the development plans for the sphere by the end of 2019, this is the launch of steam-gas turbines at the Tarakurgan, Navoi and Takhiatash TPPs.
According to R. Mubarakshin, there are plans in the field of public-private partnership - on transferring to trust management of the Kazakhstan company “Mining Works” of two power plants - the Novo-Angrenskaya and Angrenskaya TPPs. The agreements of the parties stipulate that for three years the use of natural gas at thermal power plants will be minimized by increasing the use of coal.
During the meeting, issues of ensuring the security of the fuel and energy sector, developing an efficient energy policy to meet the growing demand for energy resources, and further implementing reforms aimed at promoting and developing renewable energy sources were also discussed.
