Uzbek delegation to visit Netherlands and Belgium

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17-24 June 2019, a delegation from Uzbekistan will visit the Netherlands and Belgium as part of the project “Sustainable Development in Rural areas of Uzbekistan” co-funded by the European Union and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
The visit was worked out within the framework of the execution of instructions given during the visit of President Shavkat Mirzieyev to Namangan, Ferghana and a number of other regions.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Benelux countries, the delegation will include representatives of the leadership of the ministries of economy and industry, agriculture of our country, the relevant services of Namangan, Ferghana and Jizzakh regions, farms and cooperatives of these regions.
During the visit, a special training program of the Netherlands is provided, aimed at improving managerial and technical capacity in the field of advanced agricultural solutions. This will include a visit to the University of Wageninen, a number of leading companies, in particular VreeFruit and others.
During the visit, it is also planned to visit BelOrta, Belgium’s largest agricultural cooperative, to conduct a presentation of the technologies and capacities of the company in the processing and storage of fruits and vegetables.
The delegation will also be accompanied by representatives of Aucxis (a subsidiary of BelOrta on the implementation of technological solutions) and Foodchain (representatives of Aucxis in Russia and the CIS).
During the visit, it is expected that, in addition to visiting the BelOrta agro-industrial complex and the auction room for the sale of agricultural products, a meeting will be held on the prospects for the development and application of such high-tech solutions in the market of Uzbekistan.
