Responsibility and fines for administrative violations increased in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a Law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
According to the amendments to the Criminal Code, the size of the fine for false bankruptcy, concealment of bankruptcy, deliberate bankruptcy was increased from 150 (30,409,500,000 soums) to 250 (50,682,500 soums) sizes of minimum wages.
Previously, this size was from 100 (20 million 273 thousand soums) to 200 (40 million 546 thousand soums) sizes of minimum wages.
Now, the punishment for these crimes in the form of deprivation of a certain right (that is, deprivation of the right to engage in business) does not apply.
These changes will take effect in 3 months.
According to the amendments to the Code of Administrative Responsibility, the reception of illegal hunting products, fishing, gathering wild plants entails the imposition of a fine from 10 (2 million 27 thousand 300 soums) to 15 (3 million 40 thousand 950 soums) sizes of minimum wages .
Previously, there was responsibility only for making illegal hunting products.
Now, the manufacture, import, storage, transportation or shipment, purchase or sale of prohibited tools or means of hunting and fishing entails the imposition of a fine:
- for citizens from three (608 thousand 190 soums) to five (1 million 13 thousand 650 soums) sizes of minimum wages;
-for officials from seven (1 million 419 thousand 110 soums) to ten (2 million 27 thousand 300 soums) sizes of minimum wages.
