Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, who arrived in Brussels on a working visit, met with the European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development Neven Mimica on 21 November 2018.
The sides discussed practical aspects of further development of multi-dimensional cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union, including in the format of "Central Asia - European Union."
At the meeting, the dynamic and productive nature of bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other fields was noted with satisfaction.
In particular, there are positive trends in education and training, and in this context, prospects for increasing the network of branches of leading European universities in Uzbekistan in such specialties as “Private Law” and “Medicine” were discussed.
The meeting also addressed other issues of a common agenda.
On the same day, within the framework of the visit of the Uzbek delegation, Uzbekistan and the EU signed agreements on financing projects for development of the livestock sector, improving the quality of public services by the judiciary in the regions of the country with a total budget of 25 million euros.
