Latvian business community is interested in cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Not so long ago Tashkent Khokim Jahongir Artikkhodzhaev held a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions, international organizations and financial institutions in the format of a business breakfast in the capital’s hokimiyat.
It started to give its fruits. Today, the Cleantech Latvia Association of Business Associations expressed their interest in co-operation. The Association was presented in the khokimiyat by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Uzbekistan Mihails Popkovs.
The Executive Director of Cleantech Latvia, Eviya Pudane, noted that the company is very interested in cooperating with the Tashkent khokimiyat on issues of sustainable development of the city in order to unlock the full potential for growth in economic and environmental terms.
At the meeting, issues of geo-spatial solutions in the management of urban resources, the creation of a situational center in Tashkent, the management and development of Smart City projects were discussed.
The guests demonstrated presentations on the example of the small Latvian city of Jelgava and presented their experience in these matters.
The association “Cleantech Latvia” is a business public association in which joint activities are carried out by companies and design institutes working in the field of ecology, water technologies, waste recycling and promotion of renewable energy sources in the Baltic States and Scandinavia.
