Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 11 October, a telephone conversation took place between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
During the conversation, the heads of states discussed the current state and prospects of multi-faceted bilateral cooperation in the context of previously reached agreements at the highest level.
The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan noted with satisfaction the steady growth in the volume of mutual trade, expansion of its nomenclature. Special attention was paid to the effective use of the potential of interregional cooperation.
Mutual interest was confirmed in development of business cooperation on specific projects of cooperation in industry, energy, transport and communications, agriculture and other fields.
The importance of continuing active cooperation in the field of cultural and humanitarian exchanges, education, health and tourism was noted, which will further strengthen the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and peoples.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan also exchanged views on a number of topical issues of an international and regional nature.
The parties stated a commonality of approaches to the most important problems, including ensuring regional security and effective counteraction against contemporary challenges and threats.
The presidents reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership.
