GM Uzbekistan stops production of MATIZ

GM Uzbekistan stopped production of automobiles of MATIZ model, the press service of the company said in a statement.
“In accordance with the strategy for updating the model range, as well as taking into account the moral and technical obsolescence of the model, production of Matiz cars will be completed in July 2018 at the capacities of GM Uzbekistan,” the company said.
In this regard, registration of applications for contracts for supply of cars of this model has been stopped.
GM Uzbekistan will ensure the fulfillment of its obligations to consumers and emphasizes that the delivery of Matiz vehicles to the end customers, who have concluded the contracts will be performed in full and within the terms specified in the contracts.
Matiz is the fourth model, which began to be produced at the Asaka automobile plant in August 2001. In December 2004, the production of Matiz Best cars started with a 1.0 liter engine volume and automatic transmission modification.
Matiz belongs to the class of small cars. The need for cars of this class will be provided by increasing the production of Spark cars.
