President of Uzbekistan plans to visit India in autumn

Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and State Minister for Foreign Affairs of India Mobashar Javed Akbar discussed preparations for autumn official visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to India.
The delegation of India participated in the international high-level conference on Afghanistan "Peace Process, Security Cooperation and Regional Cooperation", which was held on 27 March in Tashkent.
First of all, Mobashar Javed Akbar on behalf of the Indian delegation congratulated the Government of Uzbekistan on the results of the Tashkent forum important for the Afghan peace process and the vast region, at which high-level delegations of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, leading international and regional structures and neighboring Afghanistan countries took part.
According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, during the talks the parties discussed the practical aspects of preparing for the official visit to India of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev scheduled for this autumn and the agenda for the forthcoming high-level talks.
The sides also discussed other issues of Uzbek-Indian cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.
