Agreement between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan on mutual trips of citizens comes into force

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of Tajikistan on mutual trips of citizens entered into force on 19 March.
The document was signed on 9 March 2018 in Dushanbe during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan.
The agreement was concluded in order to create favorable conditions for citizens of the two countries by providing them with the opportunity to carry out mutual trips without issuing visas.
According to the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan starting from 19 March can stay in the territories of the two countries without visas (up to 30 days) on valid travel documents specified in the Agreement. Within three working days, citizens are required to register at the place of their stay.
On 14 March, Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree to enter into force of the agreement for Tajik citizens starting from 16 March.
