Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- GM Uzbekistan plans to expand the model range Ravon automobiles in Russia via introduction of C-class sedan and city-class B-class crossover, Autostat agency reported quoting the press service of Uzavtosanoat (Uzbek Automobile Industry).
The company already initiated a project to launch production of new models. At the same time, Uzavtosanoat did not mention the name of new models or the terms of their introduction to the Russian market.
Today, GM Uzbekistan sells sedans Gentra, Nexia and R4 (the revamped version of Chevrolet Cobalt), as well as the hatchback Ravon R2 (Chevrolet Spark).
“We are acting in accordance with the dynamics of the market: in the class of crossovers in recent years, the popularity of subcompact models of the B-segment is growing, and their total sales are already inferior only to B-class sedans. The withdrawal of a new model in this segment is optimal for expanding our presence in the Russian market. As for the C-segment, it is still quite large, and relatively affordable, and we can offer an attractive model in it, "the press service of Uzavtosanoat said.
