New ten metro stations to be built in Tashkent till 2030

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- New ten metro stations will be constructed in Tashkent till 2030, Oybek Khudoykulov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan’s Temir Yollari and the head of the Tashkent Metro said.
According to him, the construction of 10 metro stations is envisaged by the development plan of the Tashkent Metro until 2030.
Within the plan, 22 km of underground and 102 km of overground lines will be laid. Khudoykulov noted that as a result, the total length of the metro will increase to 160 km. Today the metro station consists of 29 stations and has 36.2 km of lines.
Oybek Khudoykulov noted that work is now under way with Chinese specialists on the projects of two stations of the Uzbekistan line (from Beruni towards Karakamysh), three stations of the Chilanzar line (from Buyuk ipak yuli to the TTZ block) and five stations of the Yunusabad line (from Ming Urik to the South Railway Station).
