Kyrgyzstan starts supplying electricity to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan began purchasing electricity from Kyrgyzstan from 16 June 2017, the press service of National Energy Holding Company (Kyrgyzstan) said.
As of 4 July 2017, the company from Kyrgyzstan supplied 192.5 million kWh of electricity to Uzbekistan.
National Energy Holding Company noted that Uzbekenergo and Electric Stations signed an agreement on the supply of electricity on 15 June 2017.
Under the agreement, Uzbekistan plans to purchase 1.25 billion kWh of electricity from Kyrgyzstan.
