Uzbekistan delivers humanitarian aid to Tajikistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan delivered 60 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan. The cargo was handed over to Tajikistan in Tursunzoda city, bordered with Uzbekistan.
The Government of Uzbekistan adopted a decision on sending the humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in line with the order of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The aid will be provided to the victims of natural disasters, caused by snow avalanches in the mountainous regions of Tajikistan.
The humanitarian aid includes food, medicines, building materials, coal, warm clothing and other products of the first necessity.
The cargo arrived in Uzun district of Surkhandarya region on 7 March, which borders with Tajikistan.
After passing Sariosiyo border checkpoint, the delegation of Uzbekistan arrived in Tursunzoda city, where the cargo was handed over to the Tajik side.
The aid was moved to Dushanbe after the sides finalized all paper works.
