IUT and Curtin University to develop cooperation in education and research

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) and Curtin University (Australia) discussed the potential for establishing academic and research cooperation, including the organization of joint academic programmes and research projects in physics.
Head of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of Curtin University Professor Igor Bray and Professor of Curtin University Alisher Kadyrov visited IUT last week. The delegation of Australian university arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the international symposium “New development trends of fundamental and applied physics: problems, achievements and prospects”.
During the meeting, the representatives of IUT presented university activities in nurturing future leaders in the field of ICT. The guests were also familiarized with facilities created for students and professors.
In their turn, Curtin University representatives briefed the Uzbek side about the Australian university and its academic programmes.
After the presentations, the sides discussed issues related to the organization of joint academic programmes and training of highly qualified specialists, including professors.
In particular, representatives of two universities considered collaboration in the field of joint research projects, especially, in the field of physics.
The sides agreed to work on signing of a memorandum of understanding, which will determine main dimensions of cooperation between IUT and Curtin University.
Curtin University is one of the leading universities of Australia. It has campuses in three cities of Australia, as well as in Singapore and Malaysia. Currently, over 60,000 students study in such disciplines as information technologies, technical, humanitarian and medical sciences, etc.
