Yevgeniy Sysoyev becomes head of SCO RATS

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Yevgeniy Sysoyev assumed office as the Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Antiterrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on 1 January 2016.
He assumed the office in accordance with the Decision of the Council of the Heads of the Member States of the SCO.
Sysoyev previously worked as Deputy Director of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation - Head of the National Antiterrorism Committee Central Office.
The Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS), headquartered in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is a permanent organ of the SCO which serves to promote cooperation of member states against the three evils of terrorism, separatism and extremism.
