Some US$170m to be directed to Mubarek Gas Processing Plant

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz started modernization of Mubarek Gas Processing Plant in Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan with the cost of US$170 million.
RIA Novosti reported quoting the representative of the plant that a tender for purchase of necessary equipment and materials was announced. The financing of the project was launched.
The source said it is planned to announce several tenders to purchase technologic equipment. The project envisages stage-by-stage construction of the eight line of gas desulfurization equipment with three universal blocks (19, 20, 21) with total capacity of 6 billion cubic meters a year.
The project will be financed due to own resources of Uzbekneftegaz for US$80 million, loan of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan – US$50 million, as well as loans of the Uzbek banks for uS$40 million. The project realization will be completed in the end of 2018.
Modernization will ensure reliable operation of the installed capacity for natural gas purification from hydrogen sulphide and acid gas in the long term and to compensate the volume of natural gas processing at the gas processing plant, the company said.
