Russian Senator: Uzbekistan can join EEU in 2015

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan can join Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in 2015, a member of the Committee on international affairs of the Federation Council of Russia Igor Morozov told to the Russian News Service.
He underlined that Uzbekistan can became the EEU member in 2015. Morozov said that the single economic area, created within the EEU, became attractive to other countries, which do not have borders with Russia.
In early December, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Uzbekistan and the EEU will hold consultations on launch of negotiation on creation of free trade zone.
The Eurasian Economic Union is a political and economic union which was established by a treaty signed on 29 May 2014 between the leaders of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. A treaty to enlarge the EEU to Armenia was signed on 9 October 2014.
