Culture Days of Uzbekistan begins in China
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 July 2011, official opening ceremony of “Culture Days of Uzbekistan” has been held at National concert-orchestra hall in Beijing, which was followed by gala concert of the Uzbek arists.

The event was attended by over 500 representatives of official circles, public and mass media, diplomatic missions, accredited in Beijing.

Speaking at the opening minister, Chinese Deputy Culture Minister Li Hong Feng underlined that China welcomes the visit of the artists of Uzbekistan, which is one of ancient countries in Central Asia as China, which occupy important role in history of Great Silk Road.

He underlined that Uzbekistan and China are ancient and great countries with rich culture and traditions, and friendship of two states lasts for a long time. He said that after 19 years of establishing of diplomatic relations, cooperation between Uzbekistan and China is developing stable. He said that the countries are strengthening cultural exchange, which play positive role in developing friendly relatins between two nations.

It was noted that public organizations, like Fund Forum, play important role in developing cultural-humanitarian relations. It was said that these organizations contribute to organization and holding several cultural events.

Cooperation of Fund Forum and Chinese partners has been developing since its launch. Fund Forum opened its first representative office in Beijing in 2005. Fund Forum signed several memorandums on cooperation with several Chinese organizations. Since 2005, the sides organized over 30 events, including exhibitions, presentations, concerts, festivals, etc.

Famous Uzbek singers and dancers performed at the concert in Beijing. Among them were singer Zulayho Boyhonova, singer Giyos Boytoyev, dance group Ofarin, etc. At the end of the concert, Chinese audience applauded and dances to rhythms of Lazgi. On 7 July, the Uzbek delegation left for Sian, which will also host Culture Days of Uzbekistan.
