Uzbekistan increases production of lorries by 34.8% in Jan-Sep

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan increased production of lorries by 34.8% year-on-year in January-September 2010 to 628 units, the State Property Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The committee said Uzbekistan produced 160,800 automobiles in the reporting period, which is up by 11.2% year-on-year.

At the same time, the country produced 942 buses in nine months of 2010, which is 6.3% less compared to the same period of 2009.

Uzbekistan manufactured 1,929 units or tractors (+0.9%) and 1,775 units of tractor trailers (+42.9%) in the reporting period.

Machinery enterprises produced spare parts for automobiles for 136.9 billion soums, which is up by 5.8% year-on-year.
