Gulistan Upgrades Public Transport Fleet With New Eco-Friendly Buses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The city of Gulistan has modernized its public transport system with a new fleet of environmentally friendly buses, the city administration said on Monday.

The upgrade is part of a presidential decree issued in February 2023 aimed at improving passenger services through fleet renewal. Guliston Inter Futbol LLC, the city’s passenger transport operator, purchased 52 new Yutong buses.

A total of 72 buses have been delivered to the city since the beginning of the year, according to local officials.

The new vehicles will operate on seven intra-city routes under a gross-contract model. The administration said the renewal program has now been completed and that the entire Gulistan public transport fleet consists of eco-friendly buses.
