Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Freestyle wrestlers of the Uzbekistan national team won two silver and one bronze medals at the Asian Championships in Kyrgyzstan.

Djavrail Shapiev, representing the Uzbekistan team in the weight category up to 86 kg, won a silver medal, losing to Kazakhstan’s Azamat Daulatbekov in the final.

Another representative of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Poyonov, also brought silver to the team, taking second place in the up to 92 kg category after losing to Iranian Amirhossain Feruzpour.

Asomiddin Khasanov won the bronze medal for the Uzbekistan team in the weight category up to 79 kg, defeating Kazakh Azamat Omurjanov in the match for third place.

The women’s competition will begin today at the championship.
