WB improves forecast for economic growth in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The World Bank (WB) has improved its forecast for the growth of the economy of Uzbekistan in 2023 and 2024.

According to the latest edition of the World Bank’s Global Economic Prospects report, Uzbekistan’s GDP will grow by 5.1% in 2023. Earlier, the bank predicted that the growth of the economy of Uzbekistan in 2023 would be 4.9%.

WB experts also improved the forecast for Uzbekistan’s GDP growth in 2024. The growth of the economy of Uzbekistan in 2024 is expected at the level of 5.4%.

According to the bank’s forecasts, the economy of Uzbekistan will grow by 5.8% in 2025.
