Uzbek, Swedish FMs discuss current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 May 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov had a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Tobias Billström.

During the conversation, the sides discussed current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden.

The Ministers underscored the high level of dynamics in the development of bilateral relations, the intensification of contacts at various levels, and the growth of mutual trade. In this context, Swedish Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the opening of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Stockholm and emphasized that the diplomatic mission will serve as an important link in enriching mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries.

Foreign Ministers also exchanged views on further building up bilateral relations in priority areas, actively promoting economic diplomacy, interaction within multilateral platforms, as well as in the field of regional development.
