Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Forward of Inter Milan and Cameroon Samuel Eto’o launched a new children project, handing over diplomas to young players of Tashkent-based Pakhtakor and Bunyodkor football clubds on 17 November.
Samuel Eto’o arrived in Tashkent and participated at the gala-concert of Yangi avlod (New generation) Children’s Festival, annually organized by the Fund Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan.
The new children project will lend sponsor support to children’s and youth teams and football fans across Uzbekistan and it will include master classes with world-famous footballers. It is expected that the new project will help to raise skilled football players in Uzbekistan.
“I’m very happy to be in Tashkent”, Eto’o said. “And I’m very impressed by the talent and aspirations of Uzbekistan’s children. We should never leave people without dreams... without dreams nothing can be achieved, especially when this concerns children”, said Eto’o.
