Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Singapore hold talks in New York
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In New York, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan.
The prospects for intensifying the Uzbek-Singapore dialogue in the political, trade, economic, investment, financial, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed, taking into account the huge potential of the parties.
An exchange of views took place on the schedule, organizational and substantive aspects of the planned events.
In order to increase economic diplomacy, it was proposed to study the implementation of projects for the development of smart cities, the green and digital economy, the involvement of IT technologies, the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, and the promotion of tourist exchanges.
On the humanitarian track, the presence of opportunities for the exchange of experience in the fields of education, advanced training of civil servants, joint training of personnel, strengthening contacts between think tanks of the two countries was noted.
