Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 September, the Moscow Exchange will launch trading in the Uzbek soum - Russian ruble (UZS/RUB) currency pair. This was reported on the website of the trading platform.

“The Uzbek soum - Russian ruble currency pair will be traded on the spot market from 12 September with settlements “today” and “tomorrow”. Also, overnight swap transactions will be available to trading participants and their clients,” the message says.

The new currency pair will expand the trading opportunities of professional market participants, as well as their clients - individuals and legal entities, including subjects of foreign economic activity.

In addition, this type of trading will become an additional incentive for the development of settlements in national currencies between Russia and Uzbekistan.
