Ministry of ICT and Mastercard Inc. sign a memorandum of cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Information Technology and Communications Sherzod Shermatov met with MasterCard Vice President Sami Lahoud in New York on 20 June.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the priorities of cooperation with Mastercard in the field of promoting the development of e-commerce ecosystems, building the capacity of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as creating a potential partner platform, including online payments and other areas.

Sherzod Shermatov noted that Mastercard is one of the leaders in creating global payment innovations - the company plays an important role in the development of e-commerce and electronic payment systems, as well as in increasing the potential for digital transformation for small and medium-sized businesses.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of educational projects and building the capacity of small and medium-sized businesses, launching Entrepreneurs Odyssey, MasterCard Academy and other online platforms in Uzbek, as well as in terms of assistance in creating their own e-commerce portals for small and medium-sized businesses. business of Uzbekistan and conducting master classes and lectures for university students.
