The joint stock company Uzbekiston Temir Yollari is working on the renewal of the car fleet and the modernization of passenger cars. In order to ensure suburban communication with its subsequent integration into the city transport system, the company in the near future plans to purchase new rolling stock and increase passenger traffic in suburban traffic. For this purpose, the international experience of organizing suburban traffic in large metropolitan areas has been studied. Also, taking into account comfort, reliability and safety, the requirements for modern rolling stock made in Russia, China, Belarus and South Korea were studied.

In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the purchase of electric trains during his visits to Tashkent region and the Fergana Valley, all the necessary documentation was drawn up and the stages of holding tenders for the purchase of electric trains were outlined. In total, it is planned to purchase 15 units of electric trains and 5 units of diesel trains, which will additionally join the composition of suburban trains running in all directions of suburban communication throughout the republic. After purchasing new electric and diesel trains, it is planned to establish their running in the following directions: Tashkent - Gulistan, Tashkent - Khodjikent, Tashkent - Angren, Tashkent - Bekabad, Qoqand - Pap - Namangan, Qoqand - Margilan - Andijan, Samarkand - Bukhara, Bukhara - Khiva , Bukhara - Karshi, Khiva - Nukus, Termez - Darband, Tashkent - Samarkand, Tashkent - Bukhara, Tashkent - Khiva. In addition, by the end of 2022, it is planned to modernize the existing electric trains, replace the hard seats with soft ones.
It should be noted that the infrastructure of railway lines and facilities related to passenger transportation is updated and modernized every year. To organize high-speed passenger trains, in particular suburban ones, the joint-stock company Uzbekiston Temir Yollari is currently carrying out large-scale overhaul (rehabilitation) work on the Salar - Chirchik - Khojikent railway section. To create additional comfortable conditions for commuter passengers, Uzbekiston Temir Yollari JSC is working on reconstruction and equipping stopping points with modern technologies.
After the purchase of new and modernization of existing electric trains, as well as following the results of joint marketing research with regional and district khokimiats (the need for passengers - students and students, employees and employees in government agencies, entrepreneurs, guests of the capital, etc.), it is planned to increase the number of running electric trains.
It should be noted that, for the convenience of passengers, Uzbekiston Temir Yollari has built new stations in the last five years, such as Tashkent-Yuzhny, Andijan, Bukhara, Khiva, Namangan, Angren, Khanabad, Kattakurgan, Jizzak, Khavast, Bekabad stations have been reconstructed. , Gulistan, Qoqand, Pap, Margilan, Navoi, Termez, Karshi, Denau. All stations are equipped with new technologies to meet world requirements. Specialists who are directly related to passenger service are annually sent to the Tashkent State Transport University for advanced training.
