Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In order to discuss the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan, a meeting was held with the deputy of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament Norio Takeuchi. The embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo reports.
During the meeting, the sides expressed mutual interest in further expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral cooperation, which was impulsed by the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev to Japan in December 2019.
The Japanese parliamentarian was thoroughly familiarized with the contents of the speech of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, the main initiatives voiced by the Head of the Republic from the high rostrum of the UN.
During the meeting, issues of mutual support of candidates and initiatives of Uzbekistan and Japan within the framework of international organizations, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union and other multilateral structures, were also discussed.
