Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister for Supporting Mahalla and Family Rakhmat Mamatov has held a virtual meeting with representatives of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Office in Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, a memorandum was signed on the implementation of the project “Program for support to needy population of Syrdarya region”, developed jointly by the Ministry for Supporting Mahalla and Family of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Korea International Cooperation Agency.
Within the framework of the Project in Sardoba, Akaltin and Mirzaabad districts of Syrdarya region 3 educational facilities will be constructed, as well as conducting works on revealing and solving tasks of needy people who will be provided with free assistance by qualified specialists and psychologists.
Syrdarya regional branch of the Republican Social Information Center “Istiqbolli Avlod” was chosen for the joint implementation of the project, which has been operating for many years and has experience in working on international projects.
Together with the center, the implementation of the second component of the project will be ensured - the transfer of 10 thousand antiseptics to the population, the organization of trainings to improve the professional qualifications of mahalla employees, and social work with the population.
