Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Republican Special Commission continues systematic work on the export of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan from different regions of the Russian Federation to their homeland, railway flights and charter flights are carried out.
On 21 September, 6 charter flights were carried out from Moscow, 3 - from Saint Petersburg, 1 - from Rostov-on-Don and 2 - from Turkey for the return of 2,641 citizens of Uzbekistan, and 253 compatriots returned home by regular flights JSC "Uzbekistan Airways" on the route "Tashkent-Minsk-Tashkent" and "Tashkent-Bishkek-Tashkent", "Asiana Airlines" on the route "Seoul-Tashkent-Seoul".
On 21 September, railroad trains of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari from Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don and Samara also arrived in Uzbekistan with 2538 fellow citizens.
In a pandemic of coronavirus infection, a mass gathering of citizens increases the risks of contracting the virus, especially people at risk (elderly, pregnant women, patients, including those with chronic diseases).
“We earnestly ask fellow citizens who are on the territory of Russia not to gather at train stations, stay in the places of their current stay and strictly observe all quarantine measures and not endanger their health and the health of others,” the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
