Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 27 May 2020, a 70-year-old resident of the capital who suffered a closed head injury due to an accident was taken to the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medicine, the press service of the Ministry of Health said.
The analysis confirmed the presence of COVID-19 in the patient, after which he was transferred to the multidisciplinary clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy for specialized medical care.
During the treatment, the doctors performed all the necessary medical procedures, as well as conducted consultations with the help of telemedicine specialists of the RSCEM, the ministry emphasized. It is noted that earlier he was treated for a brain tumor, coronary heart disease and hypertension, hepatitis, pneumonia, chronic heart, kidney and liver failure.
However, in recent days, the patient’s condition deteriorated sharply due to increased respiratory failure, and he was connected to a ventilator.
Despite resuscitation procedures, the patient died of a brain tumor, acute respiratory and cardiovascular failure.
