Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Public Education has published a draft resolution “On Further Improving Online Education in the Public Education System” on regulation.gov.uz.
In connection with the announcement of quarantine in Uzbekistan, about 6.2 million school students in the fourth quarter of the 2019/2020 school year received knowledge through the Online-maktab project, which was launched on three state television channels of the National Television and Radio Company.
The draft resolution proposes to continue the Online-maktab project to provide knowledge to children in the framework of curricularand extracurricular programs, as well as advanced training of teachers. The project will also allow children of our compatriots who live in foreign countries to receive education in the Uzbek language.
As part of the Online-maktab project, starting from 1 August 2020, it is proposed to begin shooting television video lessons that will be broadcast on three channels.
This does not mean that the 2020-2021 academic year will also be conducted remotely. When the Republican Special Commission adopts decision on resuming works of schools, educational institutions will continue their activities in September.
To date, in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Public Education, schools have begun active preparations for the new 2020/2021 academic year.
