Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Uzbekneftegaz proposes to increase the excise tax on gasoline imports from 5% to 20%. The company sent a proposal to the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.
The document notes that the company considers relevant the measures proposed by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to protect the domestic market in connection with the zeroing of the excise tax on imported goods in order to provide consumers with affordable oil products by reducing the cost of imported raw materials.
Uzbekneftegaz proposed revising the excise tax rate on the import of certain finished petroleum products to ensure the production capacities of the country's oil refineries.
The company proposes to reduce the excise tax on oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks, from 5% to 0%.
At the same time, it is proposed to increase the excise tax on AI-80, AI-91, AI-92 gasoline from 5% to 20%.
