Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A briefing by the Consumer Rights Protection Agency under the Antimonopoly Committee was held at the Information and Mass Communications Agency under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the focus of which was on the results of a survey evaluating consumer satisfaction with the level of protection of their rights in the public sphere transport and its analysis.
In December last year, the Agency conducted a survey among 1661 participants - consumers of public transport services. Here are just a few survey figures: 52.5% of respondents reported a violation of their rights, 63.9% were not able to restore their rights, 73.7% did not report a violation to an authorized state body. 77% of respondents use public transport and 50% of respondents are not satisfied with the quality of service.
For two months of this year, the Agency received 343 complaints with complaints of citizens on consumer protection issues. Of these, 7.9% relate to transport and communications.
In a briefing format, various questions were asked from consumers and the media. In particular, by what criteria is the daily driver’s plan for one route formed, the time of parking of public transport, the culture of behavior of drivers and conductors, the technical condition of vehicles, etc.
